CoCo 2in progress

CoCo 2 is a text adventure played at the OK prompt of a TRS-80 Color Computer 2. Switch on the TV, let the tube warm up, and type: programs from the magazine, games off the cassette, and whatever the machine starts asking you.

This game features:

  • a working Color BASIC, quirks and all, so 1986 listings run the way they did then
  • a CRT TV with curved glass, glare, knobs to tune, and a smack on the cabinet when the picture rolls
  • the March 1986 issue of the RAINBOW: articles, type-in listings, letters, parody ads and scratch-off hints
  • a cassette of programs to CLOAD, and room on the tape to CSAVE your own
  • a notebook that fills in, in your own handwriting, as you work things out

Plays in the browser with a keyboard. Still being written: the adventure grows with each issue.
